unforgiving country

On Australia Day/ Invasion Day I saw a massive currawong engage in a swooping aerial maneuver along side a furiously large golden crested cockatoo.

I drank Tasmanian beer and ate way to many sausages.

I played guitar hero with friends and got too much sun (for a pale white geek like myself).

We talked about the nature of discussion and ignored most of Triple J’s Hottest 100 music countdown of the youth of Australia’s favourite songs. Maybe I am getting old but at least a few were familiar to me.

The kids played and ate too much and didn’t sleep enough, much like their folks.
